Set in the rugged terrain of Grand Halleux, this mountain bike marathon tests riders across vastly different landscapes, demanding both endurance and extreme technical skill. This reportage captures the dual nature of the 2026 course. The coverage begins on the open, rolling countryside tracks, documenting the strategic pack riding and the sheer scale of the event against the Walloon landscape. The narrative then shifts into the dense, dark pine forests for a steep, highly technical downhill sector. Positioned directly on the descent, I focused on the raw grit, aggressive bike handling, and intense concentration required to navigate the severe, root-covered drops and muddy terrain
